ENERGee Watch mentioned in INTERREG IV Capitalisation Report on Climate Change!
Over the last seven years (2007-2014), with the goal of improving regional policies, more than 2000 public institutions across Europe have been learning from each other through cooperative policy learning in 204 interregional projects supported by the INTERREG IVC territorial cooperation programme.
Policy makers and practitioners interested to built on the experiences of their counterparts elsewhere in order to enhance their own policy strategies can find hundreds of tried-and-tested policies and practices examples and tailor-made policy recommendations in the capitalisation reports and publications on 12 policy fields. They offer a detailed insight into the knowledge gathered by the projects working on similar regional development issues as analysed and benchmarked by 12 teams of thematic experts.
It is our pleasure to see that ENERGee Watch is mentionned in the “Climate Change” capitalisation topic reports:
“We recommend that interested regional and local authorities join ENERGee-Watch, initiated by the CLIMACTproject. It connects GHG emissions observatories throughout Europe and provides participating regions with an opportunity toachieve standardisation, share experiences, consolidate efforts and results”.
“ENERGee-Watch network so far have illustrated the need for further standardisation among observatories so as to enable comparisons between territories and establish European methodologies”.
“The network’s first report was published in 2013 and provides energy and GHG emissions data for eight European partner regions. The report will be updated yearly, and will include data from new members to the platform. The members also joined the IEE ‘DATA4ACTION’ project, which aims to facilitate public authorities’ access to energy data for better implementation and monitoring of sustainable energy action plans (SEAPs) through effective and structured collaboration with energy data providers”.
