Observatory! OREGES, the observatory of Rhône-Alpes

Oreges-may2015_XSCreated in 2002, OREGES Rhône-Alpes was set up in response to the desire to make available, on a regional and territorial basis, a relevant observation and information tool to members of the general public, local authorities and players in the world of energy.
Its steering committee is co-chaired by the State and the Region, and is financed by the regional Council of Rhône-Alpes and the ADEME (French environment and energy management agency).

The work is conducted by two technical organizations: Rhônalpénergie-Environnement since 2002 and AIR Rhône-Alpes since 2009. The OREGES was involved in the elaboration of the regional plan forair quality, climate change and energy (SRCAE), co-designed by the regional council and the regionalrepresentation of the national state, and officially approved in April 2014. The OREGESis in charge of monitoring the impacts of this regional plan.

Information exchange on climate strategies and observatories between Sweden and Latvia

In August 2012, representatives of the Latvian Environmental Investment Funds will now visit Northern Sweden to learn more about how Swedish municipalities are working with Sustainable Energy Action Plans. They will also meet regional authorities and discuss with Nenet, Norrbotten Energy Agency, on energy observatories and climate strategies.
