Save the Date! European Roundtable on Energy Data Sharing, 14 Oct. in Brussels
DATA 4 Action will organise with the support of the Committee of the Regions an EU Roundtable on Energy Data Sharing on the 14th of October from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm.
Regional and local public authorities are responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs) and they need to have effective monitoring for these plans which requires the availability of data for analysing trends as well as implementing a continuous improvement process of the SEAP actions. The challenge is to initiate a process to regularly exchange data between the different stakeholders involved (utilities, energy data providers, public authorities, etc.)
The Roundtable will aim to:
- Exchange visions between energy data providers: What would it take to develop more advanced data collaboration models between municipalities / regions and data providers?
- Demonstrate good examples of structured data exchange and how this data is used for development and monitoring of sustainable energy action plans.
- Formulate possible policy recommendations to the European Commission for a more institutionalized monitoring and data exchange processes.
The programme will be available soon on http://data4action.eu
