FEDARENE is the premier European network of regional and local organisations which implement, co-ordinate and facilitate energy and environment policies. Regional and local agencies, regional governments and departments working in these fields, are represented in FEDARENE.

Created in 1990, FEDARENE grew into an European network of energy agencies and local/regional authorities of more than 80 members.

The ENERGee Watch project stems from an existing informal European network of regional greenhouse gas observatories managed by FEDARENE. The network’s mission is to collect, monitor, report greenhouse gas emissions and implement energy saving strategies and policies. The network currently has 20 members from 11 European countries who will all, among others, benefit from the project.
