Padova, the capital of the Italian province with the same name, claims to be the oldest city in northern Italy. The city of Padova, in the Veneto Region, has a population of around 210,000 inhabitants, from which around 60,000 University students. Padova is included in the Padua-Treviso-Venice Metropolitan area, one of the largest Italian economies and one of the most successful areas in the world as for tourism, and it boosts a traditional export-oriented manufacturing vocation.

The Municipality of Padova is the local government entity of the City of Padua and it’s responsible for all administrative functions concerning population and municipal territory, such as community services, planning and land use and economic development.
