Greenhouse gas and energy observatory of the Rhône-Alpes region – Key figures – May 2015

The Rhône-Alpes region, strong with a dense industrial network, a numerous and increasing population, important road infrastructures and dynamic agriculture, consumes about one tenth of the
energy in France. As for France, the building sector (residential and tertiary) is the most energy consuming sector, especially for heating needs.

This publication (Greenhouse gas and energy observatory of the Rhône-Alpes region – Key figures – May 2015) presents the regional key figures about energy consumption, energy production and greenhouse gas emissions.
It also gives analysis of final energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by sector and details about production of renewable energy.
