The Climate Plan of the Region Sud Provence-Alpes-Cote D’azur
The regional climate plan sets forth 5 axis and a 100-initiative point to help guide the region in the right direction in order to reach the goal of carbon neutrality for the region by 2050.
The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region is set between sea and mountains. This territory account for 25% of its area in Parks natural areas, 50% of wooded areas, and nearly 1000 km of Mediterranean coast.
One year after the entry into force of the climate agreements, ORECA wishes to make the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region a exemplary environment region, to give meaning to the actions of the Region. Across the transport, training, waste, water or energy, there is the ability to act and drive a new model which will enable the region to seize the opportunities in terms of innovation and job creation.
The goal is to make Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur the driving force climate agreements: the Region with a COP in advance. This climate plan is part of a global approach of the pact environment, and the Provence-Alpes Côte d’Azur Region will be the driving force in this area.
