End-user GHG emissions from energy: Reallocation of emissions from energy industries to end users 2005-2010
The objective of this report is to help improve the understanding of past GHG emission trends in the energy sector from the demand or end-user side. To do this, the report develops a methodology to redistributes emissions from energy industries to the final users (by sector) of that energy. This reallocation is done on the basis of Eurostats energy balances and GHG inventories for the energy sector as reported to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), for the period 2005-2010.
Report on the energy potential in the Region Provence Alpes-Côte d’Azur (Atlas des énergies en Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur)
This report, conducted by the Regional Energy Observatory (ORE) and its partners, provides an overview on the energy potential in the Region Provence Alpes-Côte d’Azur . The goal is to foster the development of alternative resources in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur for ensuring the harmonious utilization of those energy resources in the whole territory.
ClimactRegions Project-Manual: “The Observation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions” adapted to the regional context of the Partners
Manual on: Observation of Greenhouse Emissions The GHG observation system is a powerful tool and the choices of a methodology and an approach for implementing it are not neutral. In fact, they contribute strongly towards building a representation of the regional impact on climate change and a framework for identifying areas of responsibilities and priorities […]
The annual balance of energy in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur
The Regional Energy Observatory of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, recently published the annual balance of energy in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. The report, among the other, shows data related to: the final energy consumption, the primary energy production, electricity and emissions of Greenhouse Gases in the Region.
EEA REPORT: Greenhouse gas emission trends and projections in Europe 2012 – Tracking progress towards Kyoto and 2020 targets
This report, published by the European Environment Agency in October 24, 2012, presents an overview of the progress achieved so far by the EU, its Member States and other EEA member countries towards their respective targets under the Kyoto Protocol and the EU burden-sharing agreement, as well as 2020 targets set at EU level. The […]
Climact Regions Project: Italian translation of the Best Practices on the Observation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions
In the framework of the European Project CLIMACT REGIONS more than 20 regional energy and GHG observatories were identified.
Are-Liguria translated in Italian the booklet of the Best Practices on the Observation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions which offers an overview of the work of some Regional Observatories.
Towards an energy system “100% Renewable”. Scenario and action plans for a successful energy transition in the Region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur
The Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur commissioned the Research Institute Negawatt to analyze the needed steps towards a successful energy transition in the Region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur by 2050.
The study focuses on the potential reduction of energy consumption and on the potential increase of energy production from renewable sources in France. The goal is to obtain, by 2050, the 90% of energy consumption from renewable sources and a definitive estrangement from nuclear energy by 2032.
ClimactRegions’s Leaflet on “Manuals for Policy Makers & Best Practice”
Governance processes are designed to provide support, expertise and advocacy for the design and joint execution of environmental policies. They offer the possible involvement of a variety of players at different levels and the opportunity to assist in defining and implementing a collective project through an open process of interaction and cooperation. More than 60 […]
RARE – French network of regional energy agencies: Observation of greenhouse gas emissions at regional level
The observation of the energy consumption and associated greenhouse gas emissions requires advanced methods of monitoring, particularly at regional level. The aim of these manuals is to create a “Tool ” for the observation of energy consumption and associated greenhouse gas emissions at regional level. The manuals offer an overview on the issues treated and […]
ClimactRegions Project-Manual:”Strategies and actions to Mitigate Climate Change” adapted to the regional context of the Partners
Manual on: Strategies and actions to Mitigate Climate Change Local groups and regions have a leading role to play in facing climate challenges. They possess not only a thorough knowledge of local conditions, resources, and needs, but also know the expectations of citizens. They assign public financing; they complete projects with long term effects on […]
