ENERGee Watch regional GHG & energy data (Dec. 2013)
ENERGee Watch is the European network of regional GHG emissions and energy data Observatories. This initiative derives from the INTERREG IVC project CLIMACT Regions which identified in 2012 more than 20 regional GHG and energy observatories, some of which decided to join forces in this platform to better share experiences and methodologies in monitoring. Monitoring […]

Rhone-Alpes GHG & Energy Observatory publishes Key Figures for 2010-11 (May 2013)
Created in 2002, OREGES is the Greenhouse gas and energy observatory of the Rhône-Alpes Region. Its steering committee is co-chaired by the State and the Region, and is financed by the regional Council of Rhône-Alpes and the ADEME (French environment and energy management agency). The work is conducted by two technical organizations: Rhônalpénergie-Environnement (since 2002) and […]
BioGrace project – Aligning GHG emission calculations in Europe
The BioGrace greenhouse gas (GHG) CALCULATION TOOL has been recognised as a voluntary scheme by the European Commission. It is in line with the sustainability criteria of the Renewable Energy Directive (2009/28/EC, RED) which are equally stated in the Fuel Quality Directive (2009/30/EC). The recognition is based on RED Article 18 (4-6) and refers to […]
Late lessons from early warnings: science, precaution, innovation
The 2013 Late lessons from early warnings report is the second of its type produced by the European Environment Agency (EEA) in collaboration with a broad range of external authors and peer reviewers. The case studies across both volumes of Late lessons from early warnings cover a diverse range of chemical and technological innovations, and highlight a number of systemic problems.
04/02/2013 – European Commission Resource Efficiency Indicators Report
Resource efficiency is one of the most important challenges faced today by the European Union (EU), and the wider global community. It forms a central pillar of Europe 2020, the EU’s growth strategy for the coming decade towards a smart, sustainable and inclusive economy.
EEA Signals 2013 – Every breath we take
Improving air quality in Europe: Signals 2013 focuses on Europe’s air. This year’s edition tries to explain the current state of air quality in Europe, where they come from, how air pollutants form, and how they affect our health and the environment. It also gives an overview of the way we build our knowledge on air, and how we tackle air pollution through a wide range of policies and measures.
Climate change, impacts and vulnerability in Europe 2012
This European Environment Agency (EEA) report presents information on past and projected climate change and related impacts in Europe, based on a range of indicators. The report also assesses the vulnerability of society, human health and ecosystems in Europe and identifies those regions in Europe most at risk from climate change.
End-user GHG emissions from energy: Reallocation of emissions from energy industries to end users 2005-2010
The objective of this report is to help improve the understanding of past GHG emission trends in the energy sector from the demand or end-user side. To do this, the report develops a methodology to redistributes emissions from energy industries to the final users (by sector) of that energy. This reallocation is done on the basis of Eurostats energy balances and GHG inventories for the energy sector as reported to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), for the period 2005-2010.
Report on the energy potential in the Region Provence Alpes-Côte d’Azur (Atlas des énergies en Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur)
This report, conducted by the Regional Energy Observatory (ORE) and its partners, provides an overview on the energy potential in the Region Provence Alpes-Côte d’Azur . The goal is to foster the development of alternative resources in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur for ensuring the harmonious utilization of those energy resources in the whole territory.
